Affiliate links

We are open about how the site works. The site has no affiliate links at the moment. If some store links on book pages become affiliate links, a store may pay us a commission when you follow such a link and buy a book. The price for you does not change.

What this means for book recommendations

• Tropes and book descriptions are prepared by the editors regardless of whether a store has an affiliate programme.
• The order of books in results depends on your query and filters, not on commission.
• Affiliate links (when they appear) will be marked with the rel="sponsored" attribute and open through our redirect, so that we can count clicks.

Paid placements

If a book or collection is shown for payment, we mark it as advertising as the law requires. Details for authors: the “For authors” page.
